Hillsborough Gallery d'Elegance
The majestic La Dolphine on Lower North's Manor Drive, originally titled Newmar and designed for George Newhall by Lewis Hobart. This c. 1914 home would not be out of place in 19th century Newport, Rhode Island with its quintessential Beaux Arts design and formal gardens. The home was later owned by the Spreckels family, and featured on the cover of the Slim Aarons coffee table book "A Place in the Sun."

Carolands Chateau. This view shows off the articulations of the west facade. The brainchild of Harriett Pullman Carolan with construction around World War I. Prior to the Chateau, the Carolans' first Hillsborough estate, Crossways, circa 1890s, was at today's Sharon/Willow/Eucalyptus with two historic gateposts marking the spot.
